Meet Dennis Tito, the first space tourist to pay for his own ticket.

Tito paid a reported $20 million for his trip (Although close friends suggest it was much less, as low as $12 million), Wikipedia says.
The price for a flight brokered by Space Adventures to the International Space Station aboard a Soyuz spacecraft is $20–35 million.
The Environment
Six of the space tourists flew to and from the International Space Station on Soyuz spacecraft through the space tourism company, Space Adventures. We can estimate revenue:
– pessimistic: 6*12=72
– optimistic: 6*35=210
– average: 141
(in millions USD).
As a commercial enterprise, space tourism seems to be an worrysome business. There are a lot of problems:
1. It is dangerous.
2. It is overcomplicated to manage the space tourist's flight.
3. Costs are high, thus profits are comparatively low.
4. Regarding the global crisis: the number of tourists will decrease.
The New Business
Our proposal is to switch from space tourism to selling advertising space on space shuttles!
It is a new response to the crisis and new media for advertising.
It will help NASA to rise more money and will help brands to explore a new way to get in touch with an audience.
Clients' investments will be returned very soon in the form of incredible free media coverage: TV Channels (among them BBC, CNN), live broadcasts, news reports, word-of-mouth, YouTube (numerous spots on YouTube will appear).
